How come yugioh cards are so expensive, like the god cards, if you dont do nothing but duel with them?

That's the purpose of Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Though its illegal to use the God cards in a Duel. It says so right on the bottom of each authentic God card. The only expensive Yu-Gi-Oh cards are either used in the top decks or are hard to find. Some vendors charge alot for bad Yu-Gi-Oh cards but thats because most people don't know the value of the cards.

lots of people collect them . if they are in great shape the price of the card goes up. some cards are very expensive.
Reply:Well a lot of poeple play them and are addicted so they know they will buy them even if they are high priced. It is all about getting money. If no one played they would lower the price.
Reply:O.k., look! I'll tell you the turh about the cards. I went to a card shop once and on every Friday that will have a duel tournament where the first place prize is always at lest $500.00.

If you invest you're monney into thoese cards and learn how to use them.... Well think about it! You're more likely to win that prize. You just like everything else in life you have to spend monney to make monney.

It's also true there are people who collect them. But lets also not forget there are people that sell them. You can buy a $2.50 pack and get a $50.00+ card in side. It's somewhat like one of thoes scratching lottery tickes. You can buy one pack and come out a big winner!
Reply:It makes no sense. but the good news is if you got it when its cheep you can sell for big bucks.
Reply:Because they have very good effects, actually wroth more than you bought them for and God cards are plainly ban at my school.
Reply:because

they know people are gonna buy them no matter what so yeagh id say

the market on going real crazy
Reply:i think its because of the stuff you can win with good cards and then you can sell what you win and win more stuff.it would be to profitable if they were cheap
Reply:it's about collector's value
