How do you know if you get a good card in a pack of yugioh cards without opening it?
The only way you can do this is by calling the psychic friends hotline they will tell you wich pack to buy. Or find Yugi and ask him to use the hard of the cards to draw you the right pack.

if u want good cards either buy dark beginnings 2 or power of the duelist but the weighing thing is true the ultimate rares weigh 3 grams more than the commons

Where can I find what cards will be in certain yugioh booster packs?

yeah its in strike of neos grandmaster is kind of hard to get thought but the rest of the six samurais are easy to get and are found in strike of neos good luck with that though yeah and pretty much all the cards that will support a six samurai deck is in strike of neos but a six samurai deck is going to need cyber dragons so you can find that in cybernetic revolution, the 2006 collector tins, or duelist pack zane.

I believe the shop sells most of the existing Yugioh Japanese Cards from the earliest boosters and wish to get to the place on my travels.
My main purpose is to find some really rare cards that is out of reach in the US and other parts of Asia.

first i suggest make a deck theme and revolve ur deck around that, since there r so many types of cards to revolve ur deck around (exodia, e-hero, d-hero, destiny board, dark world, etc.) i suggest u buy one of the yugioh games and make a deck and see wat ur best with, becuz i dont rly think there can be a perfect deck, it depends too much on wat kind of duelist u r and how u use ur cards.

Firstly, Skill, even if you have 3 Blue-Eyea on your field, Polymerization and Ultimate Dragon in your hand, but you have no skills, you might be unaware and your opponent can just use Ring of Destruction/ Dian Keto combo.
Secondly, Luck. You have to be lucky, imagine if you have a 2 Toon Table of Contents and 1 Toon World, your deck is a Solid Toon Deck, if the cardsare at the bottom, you're dead.
Lastly, the cards in your deck. ~ Need I explain?
Okay, I think Toon Deck's are cool, but throw in a couple of low-leveled Dragons/Spellcasters and Toon Table of Content`s! (HUGE EMPHASIS ON THIS,) Okay, now I reccomend 3 Polymerizations, 3 Toon Mermaid, 3 Toon Gemini Elf, 3 Toon Goblin Attack Force and 2 Toon Alligator, Spirit Ryu, Flame Manipulator and Masaki (2 each), 2 Flame Swordsman and 3 Dark Magician. Also, 3 Magician of Black Chaos, Toon Dark Magician Girl, Toon World, 3 Blue Eyes Toon Dragon and 3 Toon Summoned Skull.

Here is da effect 4 Chimeratech Overdragon: "Cyber Dragon" + 1 or more Machine-Type monsters This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. When this card is Fusion Summoned, send all the cards on your side of the field to the Graveyard except this card. The original ATK and DEF of this card become the number of Fusion Material Monsters you used for the Fusion Summon of this card x 800 points. This card can attack as many of your opponent's monsters each turn as the number of Fusion Material Monsters you used for the Fusion Summon of this card.

I offer you the thought of using king of the swamp instead of thousand eyes idol tho for its second ability to fetch polimerization. other than that i suggest you have fun and come up with your own ides. half the fun is playing your own deck. 5 years and defented only twice.

They are also good deck thinners. You need to mix with a balance of non-toon monsters. go to yugiohforums.com and search for advanced toon deck. I have full explanation of how the deck works. Add vengeful bog spirit and your opponent will have the same limitation as you. Also remember, you can strategically play your scapegoat to get tributes for your TDMG. I would stick to 2 and only 1-2 mermaids they are special summon and you can also use them to tribute for TDMG to attack same turn, but they attack with 500lp cost. Pot of avarice will allow you to repopulate your deck with toons if you lose too many with TW destruction. Giant trunade is a savior. You can use it and the toons don't go to graveyard. save it til next turn or put it back on the field, free and clear of S/T...

Overall...assuming that none of the cards are holofoil and considering that yugioh is not as popular as it is nowadays...I'd say around $20-$35...i mean for god's sake its just a piece of rectangular paper with pictures and words on it...

The best most reliable way is to scale them. If you go to ebay and buy a pocket scale for around 20 bucks you can use it and scale packs. This is what you do. You take the packs put and weigh each of them individually. You take the heaviest packs and leave the rest. Usually you take about 7-8 of the heaviest packs. This method maybe difficult because the packs maybe be inside a cardboard case like at wal mart. If you have access to a local hobby shop and the owner allows you to scale then you are in luck because it is most accurate that way. Just be sure to thank the owner for allowing you to scale.

I'm trying to build a volcanic deck also. i don't have a deck list right now, but i do have almost all of the cards i need. you can play a volcanic burn, which involves volcanic slicer (500 pts to lp, but can't attack), tri-blaze acclerator (monster removal and 500 dmg), and solar flare dragon (500 at the end of your turns). other burn cards such as tremendous fire, stealth bird, bowganian, and a few other cards are useful in a burn deck. i don't think wild fire's really good since you have to lose an acclerator. volcanic doomfire's good, but not if you're making a burn deck.

hey guys, I was wondering if many people still play yugioh (not just older ones.)
I have about 1,000 yugioh cards from older packs and series, mainly ones from early 2006 and late 2005 are the most recent cards I own.
I wanted to know If I should put my old cards in a corner and get some of the newer ones.
Are tournaments still hosted alot and do older people still play YuGiOh? (By that I mean 16-30 or something.)
I'd hate to go to tournaments and be playing against only kids.

and yes there are alot of adults that still play..they mostly use six samarai decks so go out and buy some new cards and head to your local comic store on either saturday or sunday..

Well I got a lot of mix results... then I ignored it. A couple of friends of mine later, well I asked them if they wanted to play yugioh for fun. Since we we're bored.
That was in November 07. Now somehow more than 20 of my friends got back into the game and really friends who had supposedly neglected yugioh and some who never had played it before. They came out of the shadows and admitted they loved it. We've all upgraded our decks, I barely recently. Now we play every weekend Saturdays and Sundays.
Its ridiculous to see so many people dueling at once. Oh and dont trip, me and my friends are all 18 and over. We've enjoyed it so far. We play using Traditional and Advance. 4 of us uses Advance and the rest are still adjusting using the Traditional format. If you have a lot of friends start discussing it with them. I was kinda emberrased at first to ask, but now that I did I've never been so happy. I'm currently only with the new Gold and Phantom Darkness, and pretty soon with Light of Destruction, so there ya' go. It's never too late. Trust me you'll have lots of fun.

yeah theres no problem with mixing the two.in fact i belive it makes the decks better.i use old school cards with new school cards.like monster reborn.i know its banned but i dont play tournys.i run a dino deck with a special monster.but im not reveling that card.

I would like to know how to spot a fake yugioh card. The reason why im asking this question is because i have two solomn jugdement cards they both have everything on, the same as any usually genuine yugioh card except one of pink backgrounds is a little ligther or washed out than the other version of the card does this mean its a fake yugioh card or not?

What happeneds to the god cards after the end of Yugioh?
At the end of the duel between Yugi and Atem what happend to th god cards? I heard that dude from GX say that the orignal Winged Dragon of Ra was destroyed. So what really happend to the god cards?

The cards went back to Yugi's deck. Shortly after Yugi "retired" from dueling and his deck went on tour. Some guy stole Yugi's deck and went around pretending to be him(before being soundly defeated by Judai). I dunno what happened to the God cards after that.

In yugioh what cards are there which protects me from effect damage caused by my own cards?
I run a samurai deck and have seen a new card from the new released force of the breaker. The card is called walls to the back. The effect requires me to reduce my life points to 100 and special summon as many six samurai monsters as possible from my graveyard.
The only way to counter, I think is umi and tornado wall. Another is emergency provisions. Got any other suggestions?

alright those cards wont help u and the same with des wombat cuz he protects u from card effect damage not cost. the cost here is to change ur life points to a 100. So a good card i suggest is Life Absorbing Machine. This card lets u regain the life points u paid as cost (its only half but its a continuous trap so u can use it with other cards to like solemn judgement and etc.) hope i helped and good luck dueling!

For all practical purposes, the only decks that are cheap to make and that work are:
D.D. Monarchs
Gigaplant OTK
D.D. Monarchs = buy 2x Dark Emperor Structure Deck, buy common monarchs, 3x Necrovalley = good DaD and Lightsworn killing.
Gigaplant OTK = google the combo. It's really cheap to build and insanely cheap (as in the skill required to kill your opponent on turn 1-3).
Gigaplant OTK is the better of the two.

For all practical purposes, the only decks that are cheap to make and that work are:
D.D. Monarchs
Gigaplant OTK
D.D. Monarchs = buy 2x Dark Emperor Structure Deck, buy common monarchs, 3x Necrovalley = good DaD and Lightsworn killing.
Gigaplant OTK = google the combo. It's really cheap to build and insanely cheap (as in the skill required to kill your opponent on turn 1-3).
Gigaplant OTK is the better of the two.

here is a short list of "cheap" cards that's almost in every torny winning deck
dark monarch(only in monarch and DD, maybe a few others)
treeborn frog
sakurasu armor
mage power
premature burial
monster reborn
lightning vortex
MST
heavy storm
brain control/enemy controller
here is a list of not so cheap cards
cyber dragon
mirror force(a almost must... but a bit costy and hard to find)
dimonsional prison
solmun judgement(so ok, only 4-10 bucks, but it is not easy to get ahold of... not in this world....)
other than that, u need a full deck list for any specific deck u want... and unless u already have half the card, the price is not gonna get much below 3 strucure deck of same or combinable(that a word?) attribute/type

im from the 916, and its pretty hard to find yugioh in general. BUT, if you check the wal mart on elk grove blvd or target behind cosumnes river college. they sell a bundle that has 2 english boosters, 1 variant card and 1 japanese booster. i found these when i was looking for cheap yugioh structures.
you can also check cards and comics (california card co.) in elk grove, on E stockton st, just passed the highway. theres also a A-1 comics in auburn. not sure if these cards have japanese, ive been to both, but never looked or noticed japanese.
if you want something that has a stock of japanese cards. you will have to look online, its just as well, the card shops rip you off. you can save like 10-30% buying from online retailers than buying from card shops.
