What happeneds to the god cards after the end of Yugioh?

At the end of the duel between Yugi and Atem what happend to th god cards? I heard that dude from GX say that the orignal Winged Dragon of Ra was destroyed. So what really happend to the god cards?

The cards went back to Yugi's deck. Shortly after Yugi "retired" from dueling and his deck went on tour. Some guy stole Yugi's deck and went around pretending to be him(before being soundly defeated by Judai). I dunno what happened to the God cards after that.
Reply:in episode 85 of yugioh gx pegasus (dont know how to spell the name) said the orginal cards were destroyed but they made copies to run test on.
Reply:i never really watched the show past the first season w/pegasus and his island but i played the gba games and i think isis took them after marik or sumthin like that was deafeated by yugi
Reply:a new story is unleashed, it's the story of the oricalcos(correct me if i'm wrong again) cards, the 3 god cards are stolen, and yugi and the guys are after the thieves, and i think the oricalcos cards are never published because they are all cheat cards...so strong, and after that, i think yugi battled with yami yugi named Atem(correct me if i'm wrong 'coz i watched this a long tym ago)...
Reply:They never told you but i am pressuming they evolved into the 3 sacred beast cards in gx as tehy have certain similarities in appearence so that would by the closest you can get without writing to Bandai or whoever makes yugioh

Reply:I stopped watching after the 3rd season, but you can go watch all the old episodes by going on you-tube. They have all the old shows on there.
