Yugioh cards questions?

hey guys, I was wondering if many people still play yugioh (not just older ones.)





I have about 1,000 yugioh cards from older packs and series, mainly ones from early 2006 and late 2005 are the most recent cards I own.





I wanted to know If I should put my old cards in a corner and get some of the newer ones.





Are tournaments still hosted alot and do older people still play YuGiOh? (By that I mean 16-30 or something.)





I'd hate to go to tournaments and be playing against only kids.

of course people still play it i go to tournaments every sunday..


and yes there are alot of adults that still play..they mostly use six samarai decks so go out and buy some new cards and head to your local comic store on either saturday or sunday..

Reply:no, dont listen to him, ima kid, and mainly if you were a noob, and an adult, we would tell you to get another hobby. but usually at my tourneys if i play an adult, i usually honored because they should have some time of intelligience at yugioh. but anyways. its your advantage if u go to tourneys, but thatll be the only way to get play. and yes tourneys are held every sturday. yes u should buy newer ones, stack the old holos in a pile cause u might need.
Reply:Sorry dude, mostly the adults would be playing Magic the Gathering which is better than Yu-Gi-Oh. Sorry dude but mostly in tournaments, you'll only see kids there. Play Magic, its oh so better than Yu-Gi-Oh
Reply:many people still play yugioh (otherwise there would be no more yugioh boosters and tournaments today. and adults play too). you can get new cards if you want of sell them
Reply:dude seriously? yugioh is only played by kids if there is any at all. i would not recommend getting new ones cuz its a waaste of time and money. sell ur old ones cuz i think u can get lots of money
Reply:Oh man, I was in the same position as you. I had all my 2004-2005. I had 838 cards. I started to ask online too, to see if anyone still played it. Well I got a lot of mix results... then I ignored it. A couple of friends of mine later, well I asked them if they wanted to play yugioh for fun. Since we we're bored.





That was in November 07. Now somehow more than 20 of my friends got back into the game and really friends who had supposedly neglected yugioh and some who never had played it before. They came out of the shadows and admitted they loved it. We've all upgraded our decks, I barely recently. Now we play every weekend Saturdays and Sundays.





Its ridiculous to see so many people dueling at once. Oh and dont trip, me and my friends are all 18 and over. We've enjoyed it so far. We play using Traditional and Advance. 4 of us uses Advance and the rest are still adjusting using the Traditional format. If you have a lot of friends start discussing it with them. I was kinda emberrased at first to ask, but now that I did I've never been so happy. I'm currently only with the new Gold and Phantom Darkness, and pretty soon with Light of Destruction, so there ya' go. It's never too late. Trust me you'll have lots of fun.
